WALL PAPERING:
In installing wallcoverings, the key once again is preparation.
Cracks and/or imperfections in wall surfaces are repaired.
Sometimes a primer is required to seal unsound surfaces.
To assure adhesion, we use a latex wall prep and the proper adhesive to go
with your wallcovering.
WALLPAPER REMOVAL:
Most wallcoverings can be removed from walls, by a trained professional, with
little difficulty. We spray the surface with a mixture of hot water and an
enzyme based wallpaper remover. The enzyme breaks down the starch in the
adhesive, and allows the old paper to be scraped off. Whether wet stripping
or dry stripping wallcoverings, we always wash paste from the walls. If a
previously papered area is to be repainted, we recommend a coat of oil primer
to seal any adhesive that might be left after washing. Using an oil primer
eliminates peeling or flaking of the finish coat.

AIRLESS SPRAYING
& HVLP:
Airless spraying is a method of
spray application that does not directly use compressed
air to atomize the coating material. Hydraulic pressure
is used to atomize the fluid by pumping it at high
pressure (500-4,500 psi) through a small orifice
(0.007-0.072 in.) spray nozzle tip located at the
front of the airless gun. The
main benefit of airless atomization is speed of application.
It is the fastest method of spray atomization. This
process can deliver twice the amount of material
as a compressed air system. Other advantages include
improved transfer efficiency due to a reduction in
fog and overspray, the ability to spray into recesses
and cavities with a minimum of material bounce-back, and reduced spray booth
maintenance.
